The Learning Media story
Learning Media Te Pou Taki Kōrero traces its unique heritage back to the establishment, in 1907, of the School Journal.
Te Pou Taki Kōrero
Learning Media's Māori name, Te Pou Taki Kōrero, means “the minder and teller of stories”. The name was given by a former Director of Māori Education, Wiremu Kaa, who described Learning Media as one of the “pou” (posts) of the “whare” (house) of education, the whare being New Zealand's Ministry of Education.
